One thing that snots me with politicians that go from being in government into being the opposition is their unbelievable ability to contract that mental disorder politicians suffer from (and which there is no cure for), namely hypocrisy.
This wanker, he who chooses to parasitically filter tax money so that he and his mate can jolly everywhere together has come out, in strong words in accusing McCully for not being strong enough against those from the Land of the Rising Sun regarding their whaling activities.
OK, enough Carter. NZ is not the most powerful nation in the world, we are an insignificant nothingness by comparison with the big boys out there. He had 9 years to deliver his "strong" message and still didn't gain much headway.
Instead of attacking locally, why not use those red brain cells to attack by using overseas allies that have the power to influence. Geeze, politicians like Carter are just dumbfucks. He's become the local joke in the Labbie Party.... poor thing will probably be out next election to end up raising daisies.
